Fist Pump Friday

I was hoping to have some kind of good news for you all, like where we will be living next year, but still no news and there won't be for some time. So with my original plan out the window (like I haven't said that before) I am now fist pumping about my week in general.

It's been the best one we've had in a while. We saw the pediatrician on Monday who thought some of the behaviour we're seeing could be due to Nate's lack of sleep. He's been getting up anywhere between 2.30 am to 4.30 am of late and we were not happy with that as you can well imagine. So the doctor upped Nate's sleeping meds and we had an 8 am sleep in this morning. Well, Nate did, we still had to get up to get things ready for the day. But yay! Let's hope he does it again tomorrow when we don't have to get up.

Because of Nate's sensory needs we find he needs a jump on the trampoline a few times a day. That's the reason we bought it. Now that he is older he still needs it but prefers to play games on there with other people, which is awesome to the max. He's totally wanting social interaction a lot more now. So every night after tea, Andre heads out with the kids onto the tramp. Oh my god. Funny. Not only does it look adorable, it also looks hilarious. Andre thinks he's soaring like an eagle, meanwhile he's lucky to get his feet 3cm off the tramp and Nate really is about to take off. Willow comes up with all sorts of complicated games they can play and Jude generally screams until Andre lifts him on and has to stop jumping because Jude doesn't actually like it. Meanwhile I'm happily playing my music really loud inside so I can't hear them, and get stuff done. It's win all the way.

The Christmas tree. What a saga that's been. It's now adorned with some tinsel and that's pretty much it. I love the shit out of Christmas but Jude's busy toddler hands are making it a little hard. It's still pretty funny though so I forgive him.

Before and after. *Sigh*
My two big babies really love each other. Nate's been asking her to play games with him which has helped Willow a lot. I know recently she's struggled with him. This was so good to see. Made me a little emotional... yeah alright. A lot emotional.

I've been a fan of the selfie for some time now. Before the invention of selfies I was always behind the camera and rarely in front of it - Andre's photography skills are pretty woeful so he always left it to me. To be honest I'm not much better, I just don't chop off heads. The problem with selfies is that sometimes they work.

Sometimes they don't.

But as long as it's funny then nothing is actually lost. In fact the best selfies, I think, are the ones that look stupid because there is nothing funnier than a bad selfie - except for trampoline time.

I love this little family we've made. No matter what is happening in our lives there is always something every single day that makes us laugh until we can't breathe and our bellies hurt. Stupid stuff for sure, but what does that matter? Nothing feels better than gasping for breath as you clutch your stomach then let out a big snort.

Have a great weekend y'all.
